Step by step
- Open DepositsWeb: Deposits → New.
- Record the depositSet the date, a deposit category, the amount, and the account it goes into, plus a description.
- SaveThe chosen account’s balance increases and RushFlow posts the matching entry to your books. Editing or deleting a deposit reverses and re-applies it cleanly.
Deposits vs the deposits report
This screen records deposits (and moves the account balance). To analyse them, the Deposits report totals deposits by category over a period. Deposits respect your accounting period locks, so you can’t record one into a closed period.
Use deposits for cash-in that isn’t a customer payment against an invoice; customer payments are recorded against their sale.
