The big-screen POS layout: products and cart side by side
RushFlow’s POS is responsive: it changes shape to fit the screen it’s on. On a wide screen — a tablet in landscape or a desktop terminal — it shows a two-pane master-detail view with products on the left and the cart on the right at the same time. On a narrow handheld it shows a single pane with a Products/Cart toggle. The switch is automatic, based on the device’s screen width.
When each layout is used
The app picks the layout from the available screen width:
- Two-pane — tablets and desktop terminals (roughly 10" and up, in landscape): products left, live cart right, Pay with the cart.
- Single-pane — phone-sized handhelds: a Products/Cart toggle and a bottom pay bar, so nothing feels cramped.
Why side-by-side is faster
On a busy counter, seeing the cart while you add items removes a whole step: the cashier scans or taps on the left and immediately sees the item, quantity and running total appear on the right, with the Pay button already in view. Fewer taps, fewer mistakes, faster queues.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see products and the cart at the same time?
Yes, on a tablet or desktop POS terminal. RushFlow’s POS shows a two-pane layout — products on the left, the live cart on the right — whenever the screen is wide enough. On a phone-sized handheld it uses a compact Products/Cart toggle instead.
When does the two-pane layout appear?
Automatically, based on screen width — roughly a 10" tablet in landscape and up, including Sunmi desktop terminals. Narrow handhelds use the single-pane layout.
