You often buy in one unit and sell in another — a carton in, singles out. RushFlow supports units of measure with automatic conversion, so purchasing a carton adds the right number of sellable units and the cost per unit is correct. No mental maths, no drift between what you bought and what you sell.
Step by step
- Define the unitsWeb: on the product (Products), set the base sell unit and any larger buy unit with its conversion factor. App: Inventory workspace → the product → units.
- Buy in the larger unitWhen you record a purchase, buy in cartons; RushFlow converts to sellable units and spreads the cost.
- Sell in the base unitAt the POS you sell singles; stock reduces in base units.
Where to find it
Web: the product’s units on the Products screen. App: the Inventory workspace.
A unit’s conversion factor is fixed once it’s in use, so historical stock and cost can’t be retroactively distorted.
