How to install and enable Meta Manager
Web
Updated Aug 2026
Meta Manager is an installable module, so it’s off until you turn it on. You install it from Settings → Module Settings, and enabling it runs the setup automatically - migrations, permission and a default workspace - with no manual database work.
Step by step
- Open Module SettingsWeb: go to Settings → Module Settings.
- Upload the module (if not present)Choose Install/Upload Module and upload the MetaManager package, if it isn’t already listed.
- Enable itToggle MetaManager on. The installer runs migrations, creates the meta_manager permission (granted to admin roles), and seeds a default workspace.
- Open Meta ManagerOpen Meta Manager from the sidebar, or visit
/meta-managerdirectly.
Turning it off or removing it
- Disable (toggle off) - deactivates the module but keeps all its data.
- Delete (after disabling) - removes the module and drops its tables.
Access is permission-gated on meta_manager, so only roles you grant it can open Meta Manager - see roles.

How do I turn on Meta Manager?
In Settings → Module Settings, upload the MetaManager module if needed and toggle it on. Enabling runs migrations and sets up the permission automatically; then open it from the sidebar or /meta-manager.
Does disabling it delete my data?
No. Disabling keeps all data; only Delete (after disabling) removes the module and its tables.
