How to connect your Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp channels

Updated Aug 2026
To use the live features, connect your Meta channels - Facebook Pages, Instagram and WhatsApp. Meta Manager connects through Facebook’s login, stores the tokens encrypted, and from then on can receive messages, send events and pull analytics for those channels.
Step by step
- Open ConnectionsWeb: in Meta Manager, open Connections.
- Start the Facebook loginChoose a channel (Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp) and start the connection. You’re taken through Meta’s login/permission dialog.
- Grant access and pick PagesAuthorise the app; it pulls your Pages and stores a long-lived token for the channel.
- Set the webhook securitySave the webhook handshake (app secret + verify token) so Meta can deliver messages securely to your inbox - see unified inbox.
What connecting unlocks
- Live message/comment delivery to the inbox
- Server-side event sending with a valid token
- Ad insights / ROAS where you grant the marketing permission
Tokens are stored encrypted. Without them, tracking still queues events and the webhook receiver still works - live polling and ad-data pull are what the tokens unlock.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect my Facebook Page to RushFlow?
In Meta Manager → Connections, start the Facebook login, authorise the app and pick your Pages; the token is stored encrypted. Also save the webhook security handshake so messages can be delivered.
Do I need a Meta developer app?
To connect live channels and pull ad data, yes - you provide the tokens/app credentials. The core tracking, inbox receiver, automation, analytics and CDP work without them.
