If a receipt doesn’t print after a sale, it’s almost always paper, power, the connection, or the selected printer — not your data (the sale is saved either way). Work through these checks in order and you’ll usually be printing again in a minute.
Step by step
- Check paper and powerConfirm there’s paper loaded the right way round and the printer is on with the lid closed. A near-empty roll or an open lid stops printing.
- Check the connectionOn Sunmi, the built-in printer needs nothing. For Bluetooth/USB/network, confirm the printer is paired/plugged in / reachable on the network.
- Confirm the selected printerIn RushFlow → Settings → Printing, make sure the correct printer is selected, and use “Print test”.
- Reprint the receiptOpen the sale and reprint — the sale was saved even if the print failed, so nothing is lost.
- Restart if neededPower-cycle the printer and try again. If it still fails, try another connection type or printer to isolate the fault.
Frequently asked questions
My receipt didn’t print — did I lose the sale?
No. The sale is saved regardless; open it and reprint. A failed print is a hardware/connection issue, not lost data.
Why won’t my printer print?
Usually paper, power, the connection, or the wrong printer selected. Check each, run a test print in Settings → Printing, and reprint the sale.
