How to print receipts directly from the phone — no third-party app

Android Sunmi Web Updated Aug 2026

RushFlow prints receipts directly from the app — no separate printing app required. On a Sunmi device it drives the built-in printer natively, and on any phone or tablet it prints to a paired Bluetooth, USB or network thermal printer. You do not install a middleman print utility, connect a PC, or export a PDF: the receipt prints the moment you complete the sale.

Step by step

  1. Open printer settingsIn the RushFlow POS or management app, tap Settings → Printing. You’ll see the printer types the app drives directly: built-in (Sunmi), Bluetooth, USB and Network. Pick the one that matches your hardware and follow the matching step below.
  2. Option A — Sunmi built-in printerOn a Sunmi device, choose Built-in printer. There is nothing to pair or plug in — RushFlow drives the internal printer natively. Load a thermal roll (heat-sensitive side facing the head) and go straight to the test step.
  3. Option B — Bluetooth printerTurn the printer on and make it discoverable. Open the phone’s Bluetooth settings and pair the printer there first. Back in RushFlow → Settings → Printing, choose Bluetooth, select your printer from the list, and keep it within range of the till.
  4. Option C — USB printerConnect the printer to the phone/tablet with a USB-OTG adapter (phones need OTG to talk to USB), power it on, and allow USB access when Android prompts. In Settings → Printing, choose USB and select the printer.
  5. Option D — Network printerPut the printer on the same network as the device (via your router). Find its IP address (from the printer’s self-test print or menu) and set a fixed IP so it won’t change. In Settings → Printing, choose Network and enter the IP address and port (commonly 9100).
  6. Set the paper widthSet the paper width to match your roll — usually 58mm or 80mm. The wrong width makes text run off the edge or leave large margins.
  7. Print a test receiptTap Print test and check the alignment and width. Adjust the paper-width preset until it fits.
  8. Sell — it prints automaticallyComplete a sale and the receipt prints immediately. You can re-print any past receipt from its sale record, and choose whether receipts print automatically on completion or only on demand.

Why no third-party app

Many mobile POS tools hand printing off to a separate driver app you must install, configure and keep running. RushFlow talks to the printer itself, so there is one app to manage and one place things can go wrong — not two.

On Sunmi hardware this is why RushFlow works out of the box: the app is built for the device’s built-in printer, so receipts print with zero extra setup.

Printer types supported

The same app drives common receipt hardware directly:

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a third-party app to print receipts?

No. RushFlow prints directly from its own app to the built-in Sunmi printer or a paired Bluetooth, USB or network printer — there is no separate print utility to install.

Does RushFlow support the Sunmi built-in printer?

Yes. On Sunmi devices RushFlow drives the built-in printer natively, so receipts print out of the box with no extra hardware or setup.

Can I print to a Bluetooth or network printer?

Yes. Pair a Bluetooth thermal printer, plug in a USB printer, or point the app at a network printer’s IP address — all from the app’s printer settings.

What paper width is supported?

Common thermal widths such as 58mm and 80mm. Set the paper-width preset in printer settings so the receipt fits your roll.
