How to record and compare supplier quotes

Web Updated Aug 2026

Buying from the first supplier who answers costs you margin. RushFlow’s Supplier Quotations let you record each supplier’s price quote (their RFQ response) and compare them per product — ranked cheapest-first with lead times — so you commit with the real options in front of you. It’s tracking only: recording a quote never places a purchase.

Step by step

  1. Record a quoteWeb: Purchasing → Supplier Quotations → New. Pick the supplier, add a valid-until date, and enter line items (product, quantity, unit price, lead time in days).
  2. Set its statusQuotes are Received by default; mark one Accepted or Rejected as you decide.
  3. Compare per productOpen the comparison for a product to see every still-valid quote ranked cheapest-first, with the best one flagged and lead times shown.
  4. Act on itUse the winner to inform the purchase order you raise — the quotation stays a reference, not an automatic order.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compare prices from different suppliers?

Yes. Record each supplier’s quote and open the per-product comparison — it ranks valid quotes cheapest-first and shows lead times.

Does accepting a quote create a purchase?

No. Supplier quotations are record-and-compare only; you raise the purchase order yourself, informed by the comparison.
