Some deliveries include damaged or sub-standard units. A Quality Inspection records a check on received goods — accepted vs rejected units per product, with defect reasons — so quality problems are documented and can be taken up with the supplier, instead of quietly going onto the shelf.
Step by step
- Create an inspectionWeb: Purchasing → Quality Inspections → New. Optionally reference the purchase and warehouse, and name the inspector.
- Record per-product resultsFor each product, enter quantity received, accepted and rejected, plus a defect reason for rejects.
- Read the outcomeThe overall result is derived automatically: Passed (none rejected), Failed (none accepted), or Partial (some of each).
