How to send announcements to your team in the app

Android iOS Updated Aug 2026

Getting a message to the shop floor — a price change, a policy, a “great week, everyone” — usually means a group chat nobody reads. The management app’s Announcements send a message to an outlet or a specific teammate, and recipients confirm they’ve seen it with a “Got it” acknowledgement — so you actually know the message landed, instead of hoping it did.

Step by step

  1. Open AnnouncementsApp: open Announcements. Messages you’ve received show here.
  2. Compose (for elevated roles)If your role allows it, create a new announcement and choose the audience — an outlet or a teammate.
  3. SendSend it; recipients see it in their Announcements list.
  4. Track acknowledgementRecipients tap Got it to acknowledge, so you can tell who has seen the message.

Announcements vs reminders

Use Announcements to tell people something (with an acknowledgement); use Reminders to schedule a prompt to do something at a time. Both target an individual or a group.

Composing announcements is limited to elevated roles; everyone can receive and acknowledge.
