- Open the employeeWeb: open Employees → the employee (or Create Employee). App: open the HRM workspace → the employee (or Add employee).
- Set their branch and allocationChoose the employee’s branch, and set where their cost is allocated — an outlet, warehouse, business unit or head office. Split across several if needed.
- SaveFrom now on, this employee’s salary and any employee costs post to the allocated destination(s) and appear in that segment’s P&L.

Why assignment matters
