How RushFlow suggests a category as you name a product
Building a clean catalog is faster when you don’t have to hunt for the right category on every product. As you type a product name in RushFlow, it suggests the most likely category as a clickable breadcrumb — for example Women > Jewellery > Necklace — and tapping it fills the category and sub-category fields for you. You stay in control (you can ignore or change it), but for most products it’s one tap instead of scrolling a long list.
Step by step
- Start adding a productOpen New product on the web back office or in the POS / management app, and type the product’s name as normal.
- Read the suggested categoryBelow the name, RushFlow shows a suggested category path as a breadcrumb (e.g. “Men > Footwear > Sneakers”). It’s matched from the words in the name against your category tree.
- Tap to apply itIf it’s right, tap the breadcrumb and the category and sub-category fields fill in automatically. If it’s not, ignore it and pick a category yourself — nothing is applied until you tap.
- SaveFinish the product and save. The suggestion just saved you the lookup; the product is categorised consistently with the rest of your catalog.
Why it helps
Consistent categories make everything downstream better:
- Reports and filters by category are trustworthy because products land in the same place every time.
- Staff add products faster — no scrolling a deep category list for each item.
- Your storefront and POS browse cleanly because the tree is used the way it was designed.
Frequently asked questions
Does RushFlow suggest a category when I add a product?
Yes. As you type the product name, RushFlow suggests the most likely category as a clickable breadcrumb (like “Women > Jewellery > Necklace”). Tap it to fill the category and sub-category fields, or ignore it and choose your own.
Does the suggestion change my category automatically?
No. Nothing is applied until you tap the suggested breadcrumb, so you always stay in control and can override it.
Where does it work?
Category suggestion appears when you create a product on the web back office and in the POS and management apps.
