How to fix a bulk import that failed

Web Updated Aug 2026

A failed or partial import is almost always a column or format issue in the spreadsheet — a missing required field, a wrong column, or bad number formatting. The tool flags the bad rows; fix those and re-import.

Step by step

  1. Start from the templateUse RushFlow’s import template so your columns exactly match what it expects — a shifted column is the most common cause.
  2. Fix required fieldsEnsure required fields (e.g. product name, price) are present on every row, and numbers are plain (no currency symbols).
  3. Re-import the failed rowsThe tool reports which rows failed and why. Correct just those and import them again — successful rows don’t need re-importing.

Frequently asked questions

Why did my import fail?

Usually a column mismatch or a missing/badly-formatted required field. Start from the template, fix the flagged rows (required fields, plain numbers) and re-import only those.
