The RushFlow customer display, explained

Android Sunmi Updated Aug 2026

RushFlow’s POS app can drive a second, customer-facing screen — a Sunmi dual-screen terminal’s vice screen, or any HDMI monitor plugged into an Android device. While the cashier rings up on the main screen, the customer sees their order building live — each item, quantity, price and the running total — and, once paid, a thank-you with their change. Between customers the same screen plays a looping video, promo image or YouTube clip, so it doubles as in-store signage. It’s built into the app at no extra cost, and works on Sunmi and any external display alike.

What the customer sees

The display has three states that switch automatically as you sell:

  • Idle (no sale in progress) — a looping video, a promo image, or a branded welcome message.
  • Selling — the live order: every line with its quantity and price, plus subtotal, discount, tax and a large running TOTAL. Optionally with your video still playing beside it (split screen).
  • Paid — a thank-you message with the amount paid and change due.

Works on Sunmi and on any monitor

The customer display uses Android’s standard second-screen support, so it is not tied to one brand of hardware:

  • Sunmi dual-screen terminals (T2, T2s, T2 Mini, D3 and the vice-screen models) — the built-in customer screen.
  • Any Android POS device with an HDMI output, driving an external monitor.
  • Wireless / cast displays the device already supports.
The customer display is a feature of the dedicated Android/Sunmi POS app. It also honours your currency, so totals show in the same currency as your receipts.

Why it matters

A customer-facing screen builds trust at the counter — the customer can check every item and the price as it’s scanned, which cuts disputes and speeds up checkout. Between sales, the same hardware you already paid for becomes a promo screen for offers, new arrivals or your brand video. Many well-known POS apps charge for or omit this; in RushFlow it is included.

Frequently asked questions

Does RushFlow POS support a customer-facing display?

Yes. The RushFlow Android/Sunmi POS app can drive a second screen — a Sunmi vice screen or any HDMI monitor — showing the live order and total to the customer, and playing video or promos between sales. It is included at no extra cost.

What does the customer see on the second screen?

While you ring up a sale they see each item, quantity and price with a running total; once paid they see a thank-you with the amount paid and change. Between sales the screen shows a looping video, a promo image or a welcome message.

Do I need Sunmi hardware for the customer display?

No. It works on Sunmi dual-screen terminals and on any Android POS device with an HDMI output driving an external monitor, because it uses Android’s standard second-screen support.

Is the customer display an extra paid add-on?

No. The customer display is built into the RushFlow POS app.
