How to use any HDMI monitor as a customer display

You don’t need a special dual-screen terminal to give customers a facing display. If your Android POS device has an HDMI output, plug in any monitor or TV and RushFlow will use it as the customer display — the same live order and idle media as on a Sunmi vice screen.
Step by step
- Connect the monitorPlug the external monitor or TV into your Android device’s HDMI (or USB-C-to-HDMI) output and power it on. Android mirrors or extends to it automatically.
- Open customer-display settingsOn the POS home screen tap Customer display, then turn on Second (customer) display. Tap the ⟳ rescan button if the monitor isn’t listed yet.
- Select the external monitorIf more than one screen is detected, choose the external monitor as the customer’s screen (or leave it on Auto).
- Choose idle media and wordingPick what plays between sales and set your welcome / thank-you text, exactly as on Sunmi. Tap Test on screen to confirm the monitor shows it.
What to look for in a monitor
Almost any modern monitor or TV works. For the best result:
- A landscape 16:9 monitor matches the display’s layout best.
- Position it facing the customer, not the cashier.
- A small 10–15" monitor is plenty for the order and totals; a larger TV works well for promo video.
The customer display needs the dedicated Android POS app. It uses Android’s standard external-display support, so no extra drivers or apps are required.
