Outlets and warehouses

Updated Aug 2026

Set up the places you sell from and the places that only hold stock.

Everywhere you keep stock is a location. RushFlow has two kinds, and the difference decides what each one can do.

Which is which

  • Outlet — somewhere you sell. It can run a till, take payments and serve customers.
  • Warehouse — somewhere that only holds stock, such as a storeroom or the stock backing your online store. It supplies the places that sell.

Adding one

  1. Go to Business setup → Outlets & Warehouses.
  2. Choose Create.
  3. Give it the name your staff actually use out loud — it appears on every transfer, stock report and till.
  4. Set the Type to Outlet or Warehouse, and save.

Add a location before stock arrives there. Creating it afterwards means backdating stock into it, which is far more work than getting it in first.

What happens next

The new location can immediately receive stock, transfer to and from anywhere else, and — if it is an outlet — open a till. From then on every stock figure, stocktake and report counts it separately, so you can always see what each place holds and what it earns.
