How the partner system works — shares and current accounts
If you run a business with partners, RushFlow gives you a proper partner system — not a spreadsheet. Add partners to the whole company or a specific business unit, define each one’s cost and profit share, and RushFlow keeps a current account per partner that always answers the awkward question: has this partner paid in their share, are they owed money, or do they owe the business? Every movement is reconciled to the ledger, so the numbers can’t drift.
Step by step
- Add a partnerWeb: open Business Unit Partners (or All Partners for the whole company) → add a partner and set their share. App: open the Finance workspace → Business partners → Add partner (choose a company partner or a unit).
- Record contributions & drawingsWhen a partner puts money in or takes money out, record it against them. It posts to their current account.
- Profit share accrues automaticallyAs the business (or unit) makes profit, each partner’s share accrues to their current account per their agreed split.
- Read each partner’s positionWeb/App: open a partner to see their statement — a positive balance means the business owes them (contributions + undrawn profit); a negative balance means they owe the business (drawings beyond their share).
Where to find it
Web: Business Unit Partners / All Partners. Management app (Android/iOS): Finance workspace → Business partners.
What the current account tracks
- Capital contributed by the partner
- Drawings (and any staff-style purchases) taken out
- Undrawn profit share accrued to them
- A running balance, reconciled to the partner-capital control account
Frequently asked questions
Does RushFlow track what each partner has put in or taken out?
