How to fix a ZKTeco device that won’t connect

Android ZKTeco Updated Aug 2026

If the RushFlow attendance gateway can’t reach your ZKTeco device, it’s almost always a network issue — the device and the gateway phone must be on the same network, and the device’s IP address and port must be right.

Step by step

  1. Same networkConfirm the ZKTeco device and the Android phone running the gateway are on the same LAN/Wi-Fi.
  2. Check the IP addressFind the device’s IP in its network menu and confirm it matches what you entered in the gateway app. If your network reassigns IPs, set a fixed one for the device.
  3. Check the portZKTeco devices use port 4370 by default — make sure that’s what the gateway is using and it isn’t blocked on the network.
  4. Power-cycle and retryRestart the device and the gateway app, then try to connect again.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t the gateway connect to my ZKTeco device?

Usually the device and the gateway phone aren’t on the same network, or the IP/port is wrong. Put both on the same network, confirm the device IP, and use port 4370 (the default).
