How to fix attendance punches not reaching payroll

Android ZKTeco Updated Aug 2026

If staff are punching on the device but attendance isn’t appearing in RushFlow (or feeding payroll), the break is usually in syncing, enrolment, or the device-to-branch mapping — the punches themselves are safe on the device until they sync.

Step by step

  1. Confirm the gateway is syncingCheck the gateway app has a connection and is pulling from the device and pushing to RushFlow. It caches locally and forwards when online.
  2. Check the employee is enrolled to the right personMake sure the punching finger/face is enrolled and tied to the correct employee record, so punches attribute to them.
  3. Check the device’s branch mappingConfirm the device is assigned to the right branch, so punches count toward that outlet and the employee’s payroll.
  4. Confirm the pay periodPayroll reads attendance as at the pay date — make sure the punches fall within the period you’re running.

Frequently asked questions

Punches are on the device but not in RushFlow — why?

The gateway hasn’t synced them yet, the employee isn’t enrolled to the right record, or the device isn’t mapped to a branch. Punches are held on the device until they sync.
