How to enroll employee fingerprints on a ZKTeco device
Enrolling an employee ties their fingerprint (or face) on the ZKTeco device to their RushFlow employee record, so every punch is attributed to the right person and flows into their pay. RushFlow keeps the enrolment linked to the device slot, so it stays stable even as staff and devices change.
Step by step
- Add the employee in RushFlowCreate the employee record first (name, branch, and role). The employee must exist so their punches have somewhere to land.
- Start enrolment from the gatewayIn the attendance gateway app, choose the employee and start enrolment on the target ZKTeco device.
- Capture the fingerprint on the deviceHave the employee place their finger on the ZKTeco reader as prompted (usually a few captures). The device stores the template in a slot linked to that employee.
- Verify a test punchAsk the employee to punch once. Confirm the attendance appears against the correct person and branch in RushFlow.
Enrol once, use across devices
Because the enrolment is bound to the device slot and the employee record, RushFlow can reuse the same identity across multiple devices — so an employee who moves between branches does not need re-enrolling everywhere from scratch.
Employees who leave
When an employee leaves, deactivate their record. Their historical attendance stays intact for payroll and audit, while new punches are no longer expected.
