Troubleshooting offline mode and sync

Android Sunmi Updated Aug 2026

If the POS app is stuck offline, showing old prices, or not pushing sales, it is almost always a connection or sign-in issue rather than lost data — offline sales are held safely on the device until they sync. Work through the checks below in order.

Step by step

  1. Check the connectionConfirm the device has working internet (open any website or app). Weak venue Wi-Fi is the most common cause — switch to mobile data to test.
  2. Trigger a manual syncOpen the POS app and pull to refresh, or use the sync action. Watch for the “synced” confirmation and the pending-sales count dropping to zero.
  3. Confirm you are still signed inIf your session expired, sign in again with your store code and cashier login. Your queued offline sales remain on the device and sync after sign-in.
  4. Refresh the catalogueIf prices or products look out of date, run a full catalogue refresh from the app so it re-pulls the latest data from the server.
  5. Still stuck? Keep sellingDo not uninstall the app while sales are pending — that is the one action that can discard un-synced data. Keep selling; the queue syncs once the connection is healthy. If it persists, contact support with the pending count visible.

Frequently asked questions

My sales are not syncing — did I lose them?

No. Offline sales are stored on the device and remain queued until they sync. Restore the connection and trigger a manual sync; do not uninstall the app while sales are pending.

The POS shows an old price. Why?

The device has not pulled the latest catalogue yet. Run a full catalogue refresh while online so it downloads the current prices.
